Mandala Restaurant
The Mandala Restaurant draws cuisine from three different cultures, India, Tibetan, and Japan. You can find a combination of traditional Tibetan salads, homemade dumplings, sushi rolls, and mixed salads. These meals are tasty, but they are also healthy and are sure to leave you smiling.
As its co-owner, Rinchen Dargyal says, “happiness is the flavor of life, and you are its chef.”
Rinchen had to flee Tibet on foot from humble beginnings, crossing the Himalayas until he reached India where he lived in a refugee camp. When he moved to the US, he worked as a sushi chef before starting his own restaurant. Using the skills he picked up, he was able to combine them for his restaurant.
Enjoy a nice meal & you support the Tibetan Aid Foundation. Its mission is to support rural Tibetan Communities. The restaurant promises that of their annual sales, 2% goes to help less fortunate communities. That means by eating here, and you directly help Tibetan people. Thank You!
