Jamaican born legendary Reggae artist Don Carlos started his singing career in 1973 as one of the original members of Black Uhuru. He sang lead on the group’s highly acclaimed Love Crisis album, before breaking away to begin a solo career. Three years into his solo career he released the album Suffering, which became a massive hit in Africa.

Next, he worked alongside his sidekick, co-writer and back-up vocalist Goldie. The duo built a staunch following through touring and releasing several hit albums. Then, in the 80’s Don had five Top 10 hits: “Late Night Blues,” “Nice Time Tonight, “ Dice Cup,” Hog & Goat, “I’m Not Getting Crazy” and “Spread Out.”

In 1990, Don reunited with Black Uhuru. This reunion of the original vocal trio lasted six years and four now classic albums with Don on lead vocals. He next joined forces with California-based Reggae Angels, which subsequently evolved into his band Dub Vision. Don has also worked with Slightly Stoopid over the years.

One thing is for certain, Don Carlos is now one of the most demanded Roots Reggae artists in the gusinss.
